Age Verification Policy
Last updated: April 2026
18+ platform, both sides
Call Me Now is an 18+ only platform. Both creators (the people being booked) and fans (the people booking) must be at least 18 years of age before any paid interaction can take place. This requirement applies worldwide, regardless of the age of majority in the user's jurisdiction.
This policy describes how we verify age, what happens when a user misrepresents their age, and how to report suspected underage use. It is maintained by Equinox Digital Ltd (Company No. 13228478), the operator of Call Me Now.
Creator age verification
Creators — the people who list themselves to be booked — go through a hard age gate before they can accept bookings or receive any payout. The check runs at two levels:
1. Date of birth at onboarding
- Every creator must supply their full date of birth (DD/MM/YYYY) during signup.
- The system will reject any DOB that makes the applicant under 18 on the date of application. The account cannot progress past this step.
- DOB is stored against the creator record and cannot be edited by the creator once set; changes require a support request with supporting documents.
2. Government-ID verification via Stripe Connect
- Before a creator can receive a payout, they complete Stripe Connect Express onboarding or an equivalent provider-level KYC flow.
- Stripe collects a government-issued photo ID (passport, driver's licence, or national ID card) and a selfie for liveness matching.
- Stripe cross-checks the ID's date of birth against government records and the DOB the creator supplied at onboarding.
- Payouts are blocked until Stripe returns payouts_enabled: true. Any DOB mismatch between our record and the ID triggers a manual review.
- For creators in corridors paid through dLocal, Flutterwave, Nium, Payoneer, or similar providers, equivalent KYC is performed by that provider before any funds are released.
Creators under the age of 18 — or creators whose ID DOB does not match their supplied DOB — will have their accounts suspended, any pending balance forfeited, and all future payouts blocked.
Fan age verification
Fans — the people booking a call — are verified through a layered approach:
- Attestation at checkout: before payment is authorised, every fan must tick a checkbox confirming “I am 18 or older”. The checkbox is mandatory and tied to the specific session being booked.
- Payment-card backing: payment is processed through Stripe, which runs its own 3D Secure, SCA, and fraud-signal checks. Debit and credit cards are not issued to minors in most jurisdictions, providing a secondary signal.
- Behavioural and device signals: Stripe Radar evaluates device fingerprint, IP geolocation, and account age. Sessions flagged as high-risk for underage use are auto-declined.
- Content policy enforcement: all calls are PG-only (see our Content Policy). The platform does not host age-restricted content, reducing the incentive for a minor to attempt access.
We do not collect government ID from fans at booking because the platform does not host adult or age-restricted content. If that changes in future, we will update this policy and introduce stronger verification.
Misrepresentation of age
If we discover at any time — through reports, audit, or law enforcement notice — that a user created or used an account while under 18, the following applies immediately:
- The account is permanently terminated.
- Any pending balance is forfeited.
- No refunds are issued for previous charges.
- The user is banned from creating a new account on the platform.
- Where required by law, we will report the account and cooperate with UK and international law enforcement.
- Where child safety is implicated, we report to the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) in the UK and the National Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the US.
Reporting suspected underage use
If you believe a creator or fan on Call Me Now is under 18, contact us immediately. Reports are confidential, reviewed within 24 hours, and treated as a zero-tolerance category.
- Email [email protected] with the creator's username (or the booking reference if the concern is about a fan) and a short description.
- For imminent harm to a minor, contact your local emergency services first: 999 (UK), 911 (US), or the equivalent in your country.
- You can also report child sexual exploitation directly to the Internet Watch Foundation (UK) or the NCMEC CyberTipline (US).
For parents and guardians
If you believe a minor in your care has used the platform, email [email protected] with:
- The minor's approximate age
- The email, phone number, or card details used (last four digits is sufficient)
- Your relationship to the minor
We will suspend the account, refund any recent charges to the payment method on file (subject to processor rules), delete the associated profile data, and follow up with written confirmation within 5 business days.
Legal basis
This policy is maintained to comply with:
- The UK Online Safety Act 2023, including its provisions on age-appropriate design and protection of children
- The Age Appropriate Design Code (Children's Code) issued by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)
- UK and EU data-protection law (UK GDPR, GDPR), including the principles of data minimisation and special protections for children
- Payment-provider (Stripe, PayPal, and others) acceptable-use policies concerning age-restricted services
Updates to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the platform and reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
